Sustainable Design Retreat - Registration now open!

Don’t let the name fool you. While it takes place in a relaxed, creative setting, the 2010 AIGA reDesign/MCAD Sustainable Design “retreat” is all about moving forward while kicking “bad” design to the (recycling) curb.

As more and more sustainable businesses go mainstream, designers are being challenged to create products, identities, packaging and communication materials that not only appeal to the environmentally and socially conscious, but lure a broader audience to “the green side”. Forget polar bears on icebergs and fields of sunflowers – Americans have grown weary of clichés, and leery of confusing environmental claims. Creative professionals must engage the audience through great design and truthful storytelling, not guilt and greenwashing.

Join us for a morning of captivating speakers as they share ideas and case studies on how they use the power of design to create big market impacts for low impact businesses.
